New Song Covenant Church
THE CHURCH
New Song believes those things
that Christians have always believed.
The Centrality of the Scripture (the Old and New Testament) as the word
of God.
The necessity of trusting in Jesus for entrance into God's kingdom,
and the importance of continued growth in Jesus Christ. "Unless
one is made new he cannot see the kingdom of God" (John 3:3).
The ministry of the Holy Spirit who empowers it's church, guides their
mission and supplies the gifts needed by the church and it's members
to worship Christ.
The reality of freedom in Christ, who delivers us from the power of
sin, moves us by his grace into a whole new experience and life.
THE NAME
New Song takes its name from
Psalm 40:1-3 a psalm of David.
I waited patiently for The Lord:
he turned to me and herd my cry
He lifted me out of The slimy pit,
out of The mud and mire;
he set my feet on a rock
and gave me a firm place to stand
He put a new song in my mouth,
a hymn of praise to our God.
Many will see and fear
and put their trust in the Lord
The words "New Song" are also located in Psalms 33:3, 98:1
and 149:1.
